He grew up in North Carolina and in Virginia, worked for daily and weekly newspapers, for magazines, and for radio, television, and independent film. He writes short stories and novels. He lectured on philosophy informally and without charge for many years.

Fame is the currency of public speakers. So why does our tutor's name not appear prominently on every page of this website? Yes, he is humble (and thankfully not famous), but alas, cancel culture is currently a problem for conservatives, and books assigned for study by this tutor, such as the Bible, are unfashionable with people who make a practice of personal attacks.
